Greed the Avaricious

Here it is, hopefully the first of a bunch of digital art to be churned out by yours truly! How nice it is to finally see some true colour in my art

You can just call him Greed. He's your new friend

My first Fullmetal Alchemist fanart! And my first attempt at really using Photoshop, phew. I'm quite happy with it and pleasantly surprised at how it turned out in the end, even though I know there are things I forgot to do, mostly involving use of layers, but hey practice makes perfect, right?

It started out with me drawing a quick sketch (having to make many references to the manga) on paper, which I scanned and then traced over as a lineart, and went from there. The fanciest thing I did was with his eyes, using impressionist brush strokes for the white in the corner, and using 'plastic wrap' (??) filter to get that shine in the centre. This was all experimentation so I thought it randomly turned out well. Shading was a doozy, I didn't want to do too much but in the end did more around his eyes than originally planned, but I'm happy with it. The background, done at the end, was very hasty though. It's just a shame I didn't fit all of his Ouroborus tattoo on his hand, but oh well. I'm happy with this so I should do more soon, hope you enjoy it!
